Halifax NA586 at Burn airfield.

At 20.05hrs on 2nd February 1945 this 578 Squadron aircraft was about to taxi onto the perimeter track from a dispersal site at Burn airfield prior to an operational flight. The crew moved the aircraft forward but then noticed that Halifax NA618 was taxying along the perimeter track and would pass their dispersal point. Unfortunately as they had moved forward and then stopped there wasn't then enough room for the wing of NA618 to clear the nose of NA586 and a minor collision occurred. Minor Cat.Ac damage to this aircraft resulted.
