Halifax NA219 at Holme on Spalding Moor airfield.
At 17.10hrs on 5th March 1945 this 76 Squadron aircraft the crew of this aircraft were preparing to take off from Holme on Spalding Moor airfield to undertake an operational flight to bomb Chemnitz. It was raining at the time and this impaired the visibility through the windscreens of the aircraft. The crew of this aircraft waited in their dispersal point for another aircraft to pass on the perimeter track prior to moving forward. Once it had passed the aircraft then moved but unfortunately Halifax MZ905 also moved forward at the same time and the two aircraft collided.
