Halifax MZ535 at Rufforth airfield.
During the morning of 14th March 1945 this 1663 Heavy Conversion Unit aircraft was taxied around Rufforth airfield and into a dispersal area. At 10.40hrs the pilot began to run down the engines and while doing this the port inner engine back-fired then immediately burst into flames.
