Halifax MZ468 at Lissett airfield.
At 09.15hrs on 9th February 1945 this 158 Squadron Halifax was damaged at Lissett airfield when the flap accumulator exploded inside the aircraft while it was being taxied towards a dispersal point. Halifax MZ468 had just been flown on an operational flight on Wanna-Eickel, taking off at 03.11hrs. The crew released their bomb load over the target area at 06.18hrs from 20,000 feet. They landed at Lissett at 08.48hrs.
