Halifax LW445 at Riccall airfield.
At 21.10hrs on 1st March 1945 this 1658 Heavy Conversion Unit aircraft swung on take off from Riccall airfield when the pilot was blinded by the light from an Aldis lamp that was being used to signal from another aircraft. The aircraft could not be brought under control and the undercarriage collapsed.
