Mosquito LR376 at Church Fenton airfield.

On 25th April 1945 this 54 Operational Training Unit aircraft was being flown on a night cross country training flight. During the flight the aircraft flew into bad weather, because of excessive vibrations being felt in both engines the pilot diverted to land at Church Fenton instead of flying back to Chaterhall but on landing at Church Fenton the aircraft overshot the runway and was damaged. After assessment the damage was deemed too severe to warrant a repair.

Pilot - W/O MacReadie.
