Halifax LL575 at Dishforth airfield.

At 22.20hrs on 20th February 1945 this 1664 Heavy Conversion Unit aircraft taxied into Halifax LL589 on the ground at Dishforth airfield as that aircraft was waiting for take off at a marshalling point. The pilot of LL575 had braked too late. Minor Cat.Ac damage to both aeroplanes resulted. LL575 damaged the nose and starboard engines.

Halifax LL575 had earlier been damaged at 1664 H.C.U. on 7th December 1944 when a port engine caught fire when the engines were being started.
