Halifax LK876 at Marston Moor airfield.

During the afternoon of 5th March 1945 this 1652 Heavy Conversion Unit aircraft was to be flown on a basic circuits and landings training flight at Marston Moor airfield. While taxying at 16.05hrs the port outer engine cut out and then caught fire. The Graviner fire extinguisher system was operated and this put out the fire but minor damage to the aircraft had resulted.
