Argus EV803 at Sherburn in Elmet airfield.
At 13.36hrs on 24th February 1945 Argus FK337 was taxying at Sherburn in Elmet airfield prior to a flight and had a pilot of a No.7 Ferry Pilot Pool of the ATA at the controls. A collision occurred between in and Argus EV803 around the area of the runway interchange. The pilot of FK337 was held responsible for not taking enough care whilst taxying.
Pilot - Cadet (Mrs) Joyce Ann Tharp ATA (W.152).
This pilot had married another ATA pilot, John de Winton Tharp in September 1944. She subsequently left the ATA being pregnant in April 1945.
