Unidentified Mosquito suggested as being at Church Fenton airfield.

On 24th March 1945 the crew of this 68 Squadron aircraft took off from Church Fenton airfield to undertake a patrol, named in the squadron records as being named "Ferro-28". During the flight the aircraft suffered an engine failure. A forced landing was made and the crew escaped injury. The aircraft may have been slightly damaged. Unfortunately I have not yet obtained any further records that detail where this forced landing was made. Around the area of Church Fenton airfield has been made in the past, however, I have not seen any documents that prove this yet. Carnaby could have been a possible location but their records do not list a Mosquito landing there on this date.
