Dominie X7378 at Doncaster airfield.
On 3rd February 1944 this 271 Squadron aircraft was about to be flown to Staverton airfield to be transferred away from 271 Squadron. At 14.25hrs the aircraft took off from Doncaster airfield but the port engine failed as the aircraft left the ground. The pilot force landed the aircraft in a ploughed feild near the airfield but it tipped up on to it's nose and was slightly damaged. No injuries resulted.
