Halifax W1221 at Lindholme airfield.
On 28th February 1944 this 1656 Heavy Conversion Unit aircraft was flown on an evening cross country training flight. On landing at Lindholme at 21.25hrs the aircraft swung off the runway and struck a pile of ploughed snow just off the runway causing the starboard undercarriage leg to collapse.
