On 28th February 1944 this 1659 Heavy Conversion Unit aircraft was struck by a taxying 1659 Heavy Conversion Unit aircraft at Topcliffe airfield. The Oxford sustained damage that would see it written off while the (as yet) unidentified Halifax was repaired.
