Spitfire P7524 at Catfoss airfield.
On 26th September 1944 this Central Gunnery School aircraft struck the parked Spitfire P8660 at Catfoss airfield. Both aircraft were damaged and this Spitfire was deemed beyond repair, albeit it a month later. The production list for this aircraft's history does not mention this incident in September 1944 but simply lists it as being struck off charge on 2nd November 1944. The production list for Spitfire P8660 does mention the collision and P7524 being involved. It seems no-one has linked it in reverse.
