At 21.45hrs on 15th October 1944 this 462 Squadron aircraft was parked and sat empty on a dispersal point at Driffield airfield when an M.T. vehicle drove into it. It was deemed that the lighting around the aircraft was adequate but the vehicle had a defective light.
