Halifax NA184 at Tholthorpe airfield.

At 16.50hrs on 11th December 1944 this 420 Squadron aircraft was parked on a dispersal at Tholthorpe airfield when a civilian lorry driver attempted to drive the vehicle under a wing of the aircraft but was too high. It struck and damaged the starboard aileron and outer mainplane. This incident probably occurred while the aircraft was being prepared for an operational order which was later cancelled prior to any aircraft taking off.

No crew.
