Halifax MZ936 at Full Sutton airfield.
During the evening of 15th September 1944 this 77 Squadron aircraft had taxied into soft ground at Full Sutton airfield while preparing to take off for an operational flight to Kiel and became bogged down. This was in front
of three other 77 Squadron aircraft that were awaiting their turn to take off and they could not pass it so their crews were stood down. At 22.38hrs a jack was being used to raise the aircraft when the ground subsided
and the jack slipped slightly damaging the aircraft. The front spar was damaged.
