Halifax MZ752 at Pocklington airfield.
During the morning of 25th June 1944 this 102 Squadron aircraft was flown on an operational flight to bomb a target at Montorguell and took off from Pocklington at 07.55hrs. The crew released their bomb load from 17,200 feet with some fighter cover both outbound to the target and on the way back. Owing to poor visibility on their return to Pocklington the aircraft landed too far down the runway at 11.25hrs and overshot into a field beyond.
