Halifax MZ745 damaged in the air, landed at Pocklington airfield.

During the evening of 17th July 1944 the crew of this 102 Squadron took off from Pocklington airfield at 15.32hrs to fly an operational flight to bomb Vaires. They released their bomb load onto the target from 14,000 feet but the aircraft was hit by flak and received damage to the fuselage under the rear turret. Despite the damage the crew returned to Yorkshire and landed at Pocklington 20.02hrs.
