On the evening of 15th October 1944 this 158 Squadron aircraft was flown on an operational flight to bomb Wilhelmshaven and took off from Lissett airfield at 17.53hrs. The crew released their bomb load onto the target area at 19.54hrs from 19,000 feet. At 20.31hrs the aircraft was struck and slightly damaged by flak, despite the damage the crew flew the aircraft back to base and landed at 21.50hrs.
