Halifax MZ678 at Riccall airfield.
During the morning of 29th September 1944 this 1658 Heavy Conversion Unit aircraft was being flown by an instructor to give a pupil pilot his first training flight in the Halifax type. While making a landing at Riccall at 11.20hrs the tail wheel oleo casting broke. Minor damage to the tail of the aircraft resulted.
