Halifax MZ601 was built to contract ACFT /2533 by English Electric Co.Ltd. at Samlesbury and delivered to Handley Page on 25th April 1944. The aircraft was then taken on charge by 432 Squadron on 3rd May 1944. Following minor damage sustained in the air on 24th May 1944 Cat.A/FA damage was probably the damage assessment, though there is no reference to the incident on the aircraft's AM Form 78. It would have been repaired on site with it completed by 27th May 1944. On 12th June 1944 the aircraft failed to return from Ops to Cambrai and crashed near Dunkirk with six being killed, one made PoW and one evaded capture. Cat.Em damage was the damage assessment and the aircraft was struck off charge on 4th July 1944.
