Mosquito MV534 (?) at Church Fenton airfield.

On 28th November 1944 the crew of this 307 Squadron aircraft were undertaking a night time training flight when, on landing at Church Fenton the aircraft crashed off the end of the runway and into the overshoot area coming to rest slightly damaged. The squadron records state that the aircraft was Mosquito MV534 but the Mosquito production lists state that this aircraft never served with 307 Squadron, Mosquito MV539 did and this may be the aircraft that was damaged.

Pilot - F/Sgt Stanislaw Rochminski PAF (P.794967).

Navigator / Radar Operator - W/O Ryszard Tulinski PAF (P.784853).

Both airmen were posted to 307 Squadron from 54 OTU on 26th September 1944. On 7th March 1945 they were flying 307 Squadron Mosquito MV560 when it crashed at Castle Camps following an operational flight.
