Halifax LW719 at Lissett airfield.
At 21.10hrs on 8th November 1944 this 158 Squadron aircraft was in the process of taking off from Lissett airfield so the crew could undertake a training flight when it swung off the runway after a problem with one of the starboard engines. The aircraft was not brought under control and it eventually collided with Halifax LV940 that was parked and empty on a dispersal point. LW719 was later repaired while LV940 was not.
