Halifax LW394 at Tholthorpe airfield.
At around 21.00hrs on 1st February 1944 this 425 Squadron aircraft began to taxi out of a dispersal point at Tholthorpe airfield under guidance and following signals from ground crew when it struck, "run over" and badly damaged a parked car that had been left on the dispersal point. The car was a Hillman saloon (registration RAF 90632) and was owned by W/Co Joseph Albert Baxter Dollard Richer RCAF (C/626) who was the Commanding Officer of 425 Squadron at that time.
