Halifax LW377 at Linton on Ouse airfield.
At 15.30hrs on 30th April 1944 426 Squadron Lancaster DS841 was being taxied from a dispersal point around Linton on Ouse airfield when the port brakes failed, this caused the aircraft to swing off the perimeter track and into the wing of parked 426 Squadron Halifax LW377. Both aircraft received minor Cat.Ac/FA damage. 426 Squadron were in the process of changing their Lancasters for Halifaxes at this time so had both types on charge at the same time.
