Halifax LW209 damaged in the air, landed at Linton on Ouse airfield.
During the afternoon of 5th August 1944 the crew of this 426 Squadron aeroplane were tasked with a bombing raid on V.1 storage tunnels at St.Leu D'Esserent, they took off from Linton on Ouse at 11.04hrs and released their bomb load from 16,500 feet at 13.19hrs over the target area just left of target indicators. A safe landing was made at Linton on Ouse at 15.38hrs and a small flak hole was found in the starboard elevator.
