Halifax LW139 at Leeming airfield.
At 09.30hrs on 13th September 1944 this 429 Squadron aircraft was being towed on the perimeter track around Leeming airfield when the port wheel left the concrete and onto some soft ground. Unfortunately the aircraft moved sideways and the tail wheel assembly sheared off. The planned engine test was put on hold.
