Halifax LL536 at Wombleton airfield.
During the engine run-ups prior to taking off for a training flight on 29th November 1944 this 1666 Heavy Conversion Unit aircraft's undercarriage was raised accidentally. The propellers dug into the ground and the front of the aircraft was also damaged on striking the ground. This crew would later complete their training at 1666 Heavy Conversion Unit and be posted to 432 Squadron.
