Halifax LK751 at Rufforth airfield.
During the morning of 21st November 1944 this 1663 Heavy Conversion Unit aircraft was flown by an instructor for an initial training flight with a trainee crew. The aircraft landed at Rufforth normally and without incident at 10.43hrs when, without warning, the tail wheel assembly collapsed.
