Anson L7965 damaged in the air, landed at Yeadon airfield.
This aircraft appears to have been used by the ATA as a taxi aircraft. During a flight during the afternoon of 13th October 1944 with a No.7 Ferry Pilot Pool pilot of the ATA at the controls the cockpit sliding window on the starboard side of the aircraft detached in the air. As the window fell away it struck and damaged both the starboard engine cowling and the tail plane. The pilot landed normally at the destination airfield at Yeadon at 15.30hrs.
Pilot - First Officer John Charles Scarborough ATA (M.701).
