Halifax JP192 at Lindholme airfield.
Over the night of 8th / 9th November 1944 this 1656 Heavy Conversion Unit aircraft was flown on a cross country training flight. On the return to Lindholme airfield at 01.30hrs the pilot did not lower the undercarriage early enough and when the aircraft landed it was not fully locked down. The aircraft came to rest with the undercarriage collapsed.
