Wellington HZ115 at Catfoss airfield.

On 18th April 1944 this Central Gunnery School aircraft and also Wellington BK277 were damaged at Catfoss airfield as a result of a ground accident. One of the aircraft moved and swung around while a WAAF was running the engines up on the Wellington. A chock under the starboard wheel moved causing the starboard wing to shift and the aircraft swing round on it's port wheel. The other Wellington was in the way and was struck. The C.G.S. orb makes brief mention of this incident but does not state which aircraft was being run-up and moved or which was the aircraft that was struck.
