Halifax HX356 at Lissett airfield.

During the afternoon of 11th March 1944 this 158 Squadron aircraft was flown on a training flight that lasted three hous. After landing at Lissett at 17.00hrs the aircraft taxied back into a dispersal area but the tail wheel ran off the concrete and onto soft ground. When the aircraft was then taxied out of the soft ground it caused the tail wheel mounting to fail and then tail wheel to collapse.
