Halifax HX354 at Leconfield airfield.
During the evening of 10th January 1944 this 466 Squadron aircraft was flown by a pilot and crew undertaking their first night circuits and landings flight at Leconfield since joining the squadron. At 18.16hrs while making their first landing the aircraft began to swing, the inexperienced pilot over-corrected the swing and the undercarriage collapsed.
