Halifax HX337 at Leconfield airfield.
During the evening of 10th March 1944 this 466 Squadron aircraft was flown on a cross country involving training with H2S. On landing at Leconfield at 22.07hrs following a 2.45 hour long flight the aircraft landed normally but before the aircraft slowed the tail wheel assembly broke and then snapped off. The tail wheel asseembly was probably one of a faulty batch.
