Halifax HX290 at Topcliffe airfield.
On 30th November 1944 this 1659 Heavy Conversion Unit aircraft was being taxied into a dispersal point at Topcliffe airfield when it over-ran and struck an engine inspection platform with the port inner propeller. Fragments of the propeller blade damaged the port side of the front fuselage. The damage was assessed and Cat.A damage was recorded.
