Halifax HX170 at Marston Moor airfield.
On the evening of 15th November 1944 this 1652 Heavy Conversion Unit aircraft was to have been flown on a training flight but on take off from Marston Moor airfield at 22.00hrs the aircraft swung to port. The pilot over-corrected the swing and the aircraft left the runway coming to rest with the undercarriage collapsed.
