Halifax EB275 at Topcliffe airfield.

During the morning of 6th August 1944 this 1659 Heavy Conversion Unit aircraft was being flown on a basic circuits and landings training flight using Topcliffe airfield when the tail wheel assembly collapsed at 11.30hrs. The incident is recorded in a flying control log that giives the identity as "EV275" but it must be EB275 as this was a 1659 H.C.U. aircraft at the time.
