Wellington DV807 at Lindholme airfield.
During the early hours of 22nd February 1944 this 105 Ferry Training Unit aircraft was being flown on a training flight when the aircraft suffered a fractured oil pipe. The pilot made a forced landing at Lindholme airfield at 05.00hrs. I have yet to discover if any further damage resulted. There is no mention of the incident on the aircraft's AM Form 78 so damage must have only been very minor. The only reference to this incident I have found in within a Ferry Command occurrence book in AIR38/237 at the National Archives.
