Halifax DT566 at Burn airfield.

At 19.30hrs on 28th January 1944 this 1652 Heavy Conversion Unit aircraft was being taxied at Burn airfield following a short training flight when the aircraft swung off the runway. The ground beside the concrete was poor and the tail wheel struck the concrete lip of the runway causing damage to the tail wheel assembly. Minor Cat.Ac damage resulted and it was repaired. The aeroplane had previously seen service with 10 Squadron.
