Halifax DT560 at Topcliffe airfield.
At 16.45hrs on 26th January 1944 this 1659 Heavy Conversion Unit aircraft was part way through an inspection that saw it's engines being run up to speed when the chocks slipped. The aircraft moved forward and struck an inspection platform. It was later noticed that where the chocks were placed was slippery with oil on the concrete on the dispersal area.
