Halifax DT551 at Topcliffe airfield.
During the evening of 23rd January 1944 this 1659 Heavy Conversion Unit was flown on a basic circuits and landings training flight using Topcliffe airfield. Prior to making a landing at Topcliffe the pilot failed to check that the undercarriage had been lowered and on landing at 23.33hrs a belly landing was made.
