Halifax BB272 at Lindholme airfield.
At 00.30hrs on 17th May 1944 this 1656 Heavy Conversion Unit aircraft was being taxied around the perimeter track at Lindholme airfield when it swung off the perimeter track and struck Halifax JN975 that was parked and empty on a dispersal point. Both aircraft were damaged. Halifax BB272 required a new propeller. Unfortunately the AM Form 1180 for BB272 is missing from the records so the crew details and further information has yet to be learnt.
