Mustang AP182 at Clifton airfield.
At 15.00hrs on 10th November 1944 this aircraft was flying an approach to land on Runway No.35 at Clifton airfield while in the care of No.4 Delivery Flight when the starboard undercarriage leg struck the roof of a hut. The pilot was able to apply power and remain in the air. Fire and ambulance crews were assembled prior to the pilot then being given permission to land and he made a succesful single wheeled landing. Eventually the aircraft lost speed and the aircraft settled onto the starboard wing, it swung off the runway and came to rest around fifty yards from Runway No.35 and thirty five yards from Runway No.07.
