Unidentified aircraft in the Harrogate area.
On 9th November 1944 a basic statement of "own aircraft crashed" in the Harrogate area is given in a transcript of ARP incidents. I have no additional information on any aircraft either crashing or force landing in the area on this date so cannot yet add any further details. The occasional other such references were actually aircrew baling out of aircraft and with the aircraft then going on to make a good landing on an airfield, this might be another such example.
