Unidentified aircraft damaged in the air, probably landed at Thornaby airfield.
During the afternoon of 9th December 1944 an aeroplane at Thornaby airfield following an engine fire in the air. It subsequently landed safely, presumably at Thornaby airfield. Nothing more is known about this incident. The only information located was found within the Thornaby airfield station orb (AIR28/826).
