Unidentified Wellington damaged in the air, landed at Dishforth airfield.

During the night of 9th August 1944 this crew of this 11 O.T.U. Wellington became lost and made a "Darky" call for landing assistance while over North Yorkshire. The aircraft had had a fire in the accumulators while in the air and despite this fire the crew managed to land at Dishforth airfield. The aircraft was identified in a flying control log loog as being "-Y" of 11 O.T.U. who were based at Westcott.
