Unidentified Grumman Wildcat at Croft airfield.
At 12.50hrs on 28th October 1944 this unidentified Royal Navy aircraft landed at Croft airfield but damaged the main spar and wing tip. The Croft station record book mentioned the incident and stated that it was estimated to take three days to repair. Nothing more about the incident is yet known.
