Unidentified Halifaxes "ND-P" and "QY-Z" at Wombleton airfield.
During the late evening of 27th October 1944 Halifax "ND-P" was being taxied around the perimeter track at Wombleton airfield when it ran off the track and into Halifax "QY-Z" that was parked nearby. The wingtip of "QY-Z" received slight damage and "ND-P" also received minor damage.
One aircraft that was damaged by 166 HCU on this night was definitely Halifax HR723 because that has minor Cat.Ac damage recorded against it on the AM.78 card on this date with 1666 H.C.U. however that was damaged in a landing at Llandudno Junction on this date.
